# SwiftTask Privacy Policy
**Last updated: September 8, 2026**
SwiftTask is published by **[Publisher name]** (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the SwiftTask app.
For privacy questions, contact **[Support email]**.
## 1. Our approach to privacy
SwiftTask stores your tasks on your device and uses Apple’s native frameworks for document recognition, in-app voice transcription, and task parsing.
SwiftTask does not require a separate account. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or send your task content to developer-operated servers.
Optional Apple services, including iCloud, Calendar, Siri, and the App Store, handle information as described below.
## 2. Task information and iCloud
Your task titles, notes, dates, durations, priorities, calendar links, categories, and completion status are stored on your device.
When iCloud is available for SwiftTask, Apple synchronizes task records through your private iCloud database to devices using the same Apple Account. This uses your iCloud storage. Changes, including deletions, may synchronize across those devices.
SwiftTask does not provide us with access to your private task database.
## 3. Document scanning and selected photos
SwiftTask requests camera access when you choose to scan a document. You may also select photos to import.
Document text recognition and image adjustments run on your device. Scanned pages and selected photos are stored temporarily in protected local files while you crop, adjust, export, or extract text. These files are removed when the scan session is released; iOS may also clear temporary files.
Scan images are not attached to saved tasks or synchronized through SwiftTask’s iCloud database. Text you choose to save becomes part of your task information.
If you export or share an image or PDF, the destination you select receives a separate copy. That copy is governed by the destination’s privacy practices and settings.
## 4. Microphone and speech recognition
SwiftTask requests microphone and speech-recognition permissions for voice capture.
In-app voice transcription requires on-device speech-recognition support. SwiftTask does not send your audio to an external transcription service or save audio recordings.
Text you choose to save from a transcription becomes part of your task information and may synchronize through iCloud.
## 5. Calendar access
SwiftTask requests Calendar access when you connect the daily planner or use a scheduling feature.
The app reads calendar events on your device to identify available time. When you schedule a task, SwiftTask adds its title and scheduled time to your default calendar. Smart Reshuffle can move missed SwiftTask calendar blocks into available time slots.
Calendar events may synchronize through the account associated with your selected calendar, including a work or shared account. People with access to that calendar may be able to see the scheduled task.
Other calendar-event details are not copied into your SwiftTask task database or sent to developer-operated servers.
Completing or deleting a task in SwiftTask does not automatically remove its calendar event. You can remove that event in Calendar.
## 6. Siri, Shortcuts, and widgets
SwiftTask supports task creation and scheduling through Apple’s Siri and Shortcuts features. Text received by SwiftTask is parsed locally using Apple’s language and date frameworks.
Siri’s own processing depends on your device and Apple settings. SwiftTask does not control whether Siri uses Apple’s online services.
Widgets access task information through a shared on-device database. Task titles may be visible to people who can see your Home Screen or Lock Screen. You can remove widgets using your device’s customization controls.
## 7. Subscriptions and free usage
Apple processes subscriptions, payments, and purchase restoration. SwiftTask does not receive your payment-card details.
The app reads verified App Store transaction information to determine whether you have an active SwiftTask Pro subscription.
Free document-scan and voice-task usage counts are stored in app preferences on your device, separately from task records synchronized through iCloud.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting SwiftTask does not cancel a subscription.
## 8. Information you send to support
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use that information to respond to your request and address the issue you report.
Please avoid including sensitive task content, recordings, or documents unless necessary for your request. Email is handled through the email providers used by you and us.
## 9. Retention and deletion
Saved tasks remain until you delete them. To delete a task, swipe left on it and choose **Delete**.
When iCloud synchronization is available, task deletions synchronize to your other devices. Offline devices may take time to receive those changes. Deleting the app does not necessarily remove information already stored in iCloud.
Calendar events and exported images or PDFs are independent copies. Delete them in Calendar or the destination app where they were saved.
Apple controls retention of App Store purchase records and system backups under its own policies. SwiftTask cannot erase those records.
Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably necessary to address your request, maintain relevant support records, or meet applicable legal obligations.
## 10. Your choices
You can:
- Edit or delete tasks within SwiftTask.
- Change camera, microphone, speech-recognition, and Calendar permissions in iOS Settings.
- Manage SwiftTask’s iCloud access and storage through your Apple Account settings.
- Remove SwiftTask widgets.
- Manage or cancel your subscription through Apple.
- Contact us about information you have provided directly to support.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Contact **[Support email]** to make a request. We cannot retrieve task content that remains solely on your device or in your private iCloud database.
## 11. Security
SwiftTask uses Apple’s platform storage and permission controls. Temporary scan files use local file protection.
No method of storing or transmitting information can be guaranteed completely secure. Protecting your device and Apple Account helps protect your task information.
## 12. Apple and other services
Apple services, including iCloud, Siri, Calendar account synchronization, and the App Store, operate under Apple’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
Read [Apple’s Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) for more information.
If you choose to share information with another app, calendar provider, or export destination, that service’s privacy policy also applies.
## 13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to SwiftTask or our privacy practices. The current policy will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
