OmniSync AI is designed as a local-first file organization and synchronization utility. We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

Information We Collect

OmniSync AI does not upload your files, file contents, tags, local asset metadata, device sync data, or NAS credentials to our servers.

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

- File names, file paths, file extensions, file sizes, and modification dates for assets you import
- Tags and organizational metadata you create or generate locally
- Local network device information discovered through Bonjour or local network scanning
- NAS connection settings you enter, such as server address and username
- Purchase and subscription entitlement status provided by Apple StoreKit

File and Asset Data

Your imported files and asset metadata remain on your device unless you choose to sync them with another device or network storage location.

When you use local sync, OmniSync AI transfers data directly between your devices over your local network. These transfers do not pass through our servers.

Local Network Access

OmniSync AI requests local network access to discover nearby devices and network storage systems, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android companion clients, and NAS devices. This access is used only for local discovery and synchronization.

NAS and External Storage

If you connect a NAS or network storage device, OmniSync AI uses the credentials and server information you provide to connect directly from your device to that storage system. We do not receive, store, or transmit your NAS credentials.

Purchases and Subscriptions

OmniSync AI uses Apple StoreKit to process purchases and subscriptions. Apple handles payment information. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

Diagnostics and Analytics

OmniSync AI does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If diagnostics or crash reporting are added in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and how it is used.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information, files, asset metadata, sync data, or NAS credentials with third parties.

Data Security

OmniSync AI uses native Apple security frameworks where applicable. Local device sync is designed to use encrypted local connections. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, local network, and NAS systems.

Children’s Privacy

OmniSync AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

You can remove imported asset records from the app, disconnect network storage, disable local network permissions in system settings, or delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
