Effective Date: June 11, 2026
HiveSync is a local multi-device camera synchronization app. This notice explains what information HiveSync uses and how it is handled.
## Information HiveSync Uses
HiveSync may request access to:
- Camera: used to capture photos on devices acting as Camera receivers.
- Photos: used to save captured photos to the device photo library.
- Local Network: used to discover and connect nearby HiveSync devices.
- Bluetooth: used by iOS peer discovery to help nearby devices connect.
- Microphone: reserved for future audio sync and slate metadata features.
## Photo Storage
Photos captured by HiveSync are saved to the Photos library on the device that captures them.
When a Camera device is connected to a Director device, captured photo data may also be sent over the local peer-to-peer connection so the Director device can save a copy.
## Local Device Connections
HiveSync uses Apple MultipeerConnectivity to connect nearby devices over local Wi-Fi, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Connection data stays between the nearby devices participating in the HiveSync session.
## No Cloud Uploads
HiveSync does not upload photos, camera data, device data, or connection data to a server.
HiveSync does not sell personal information.
HiveSync does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
## Data Shared Between Devices
During a HiveSync session, connected devices may exchange:
- Device display names
- Clock synchronization timing data
- Capture trigger commands
- Captured photo data sent from Camera devices to the Director device
This data is used only to operate the synchronized camera session.
## Children’s Privacy
HiveSync is not designed to collect personal information from children.
